How to choose a Windows app for your workflow
Compare Windows app requirements, offline features, exports, privacy and one-time pricing before you buy.
Start with the job you need to finish
Write down the input, the result you need and the format you need to keep. For example, reviewing duplicate photos, converting a document and making an independent backup are separate jobs. Choose a tool that explicitly covers your task rather than comparing long feature lists.
Check the complete setup
Confirm the supported Windows version, processor architecture, memory and free disk space on the release page. Include optional dependencies such as a local model, installed voices, classic Outlook, a camera or a separate service account. A one-time app price does not include every external provider charge.
Keep control of your work
Check save locations, backup recovery and usable export formats. Test with a copy of a small document before importing a whole library. Keep originals until you have checked that the exported result opens correctly in the program you intend to use.
Compare editions and availability
IndepApps lists Windows editions; macOS Software lists the related Mac apps. Screenshots from the Mac edition are labelled as references. A Windows edition in preparation cannot yet be purchased or downloaded. Use the release information for your operating system when it becomes available.
